It is probably every diner’s worst nightmare, finding something in their entree that isn’t supposed to be there. An Oregon man, Matt Jones, and his friend went in to a Lincoln City Subway on October 6th.
Before Jones took a bite, Jones’ friend noticed what appeared to be a rodent inside of his sandwich.

Jones let the employees know about the situation. Subway notified the Health Department. Subway issued a statement, “To be cautious, all of the products in the sandwich unit were disposed of and a thorough cleaning took place, in which the Health Department gave the restaurant a clean bill of health. There were no other complaints made and this was an isolated incident.”

It is unclear how the rodent came to be found inside of the sandwich, as Subway employees hand place each ingredient into the sandwich while customers are permitted to watch. “It’s believed the dead rodent came from one of the bagged products that the restaurant used to make the sandwich.”, reported Fox News.

At any rate, Subway promptly issued refunds to both Jones and his friend.
