At the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidential aspirations, many did not his candidacy seriously. However, Trump has dominated the GOP presidential campaign and remains solidly in the lead. Some Democrats are hopeful that a Trump nomination will help Hillary Clinton cinch the presidency.
Democrat Senate minority leader Harry Reid has spoken about the seriousness of a possible Trump nomination.
“Never, ever, ever, underestimate Trump. No one should do that. I tried, others have tried. He’s a hard guy to predict,” said Harry Reid the Senate minority leader. “One of the most unorthodox candidates for the presidency in modern times. Certainly in modern times, post-modern times. A real unusual deal we have here,” he continued.

When asked if he preferred Trump or Cruz to run against the Democratic nominee, Reid was indifferent saying “I don’t think it matters.”
“You have one who has been plotting to be president for six or seven months. That’s Trump. You have Cruz, who has been plotting to be president since he was in elementary school,” said Reid.
