Twitchy.com reports the White House posted a tweet Friday, saying, “Our businesses have added 14.4 million jobs over the past 73 months.”

The use of the words “our businesses” upset some Twitter users. They were quick to point out that the White House did not build the businesses; therefore they did not own them.
One person tweeted:
@WhiteHouse “you didnt build that”

@WhiteHouse Wow. Some of those are as much as 20 hour a week jobs! Part time low pay. And they aren’t “your” businesses. Americans own them.

The White House issued its employment report for March on Friday, which sites the creation of 215,000 new jobs in March, calling this “the longest streak of private-sector job growth on record.”
The report placed the unemployment for March at 5 percent due to an increase in labor force participation.

According to an article in The Washington Post, the rise in unemployment is a positive thing, because it means people who had previously given up on finding a job were beginning to once again searching.
Michelle Meyer, deputy head of United States economics at Bank of America Merrill Lynch told The New York Times, “It’s clearly a strong report across the board, and I was particularly encouraged by the pickup in labor force participation.”
