Black Lives Matter and pro-illegal immigration protesters tried to disrupt a Donald Trump campaign rally in Virginia Wednesday night, but were physically removed when minor fights broke out.
The event drew over 5,000 people to the Expo Hall at the Richmond International Speedway. As soon as Trump mentioned building a wall, approximately a dozen protesters began chanting and waving signs, according to CNN.
The candidate responded by saying, “That’s alright. That’s why we have freedom of speech, folks!”

He then stated, “I’ll tell you how dishonest the press is. We have thousands of people in the room…and we have about 10 people over there. They’ll get the headline. You won’t. That’s pretty disgusting but that’s the way it goes.”
As Trump continued to speak, supporters and the protesters clashed. A video appeared to show a man ripping up a sign of one of the protesters.

CNN’s Jeremy Diamond captured a profanity-laced confrontation with protesters, which ended with a Trump supporter apparently spitting in the face of one, who wore a t-shirt deriding the candidate in vulgar terms. (Warning video contains graphic language.)
