When the Republican presidential nomination process is over, it is going to be “really scary,” according to Joy Behar on The View.
On Tuesday’s show, there was much chortling and glee as The View discussed a new poll showing Ben Carson leading Donald Trump in the Republican presidential race.
“I think people are getting sick of Trump,” said host Michelle Collins, who also said during the program that Carson is “even scarier” then Trump.

“I think the tides are finally turning in favor of someone else,” Collins said. “And my prediction, and note this on camera. My prediction is that Carson eventually is also going to fall to the wayside…I think Carson is going to lose and I think really what’s going to end up happening it’s going to come down to Bush versus Rubio.”
Behar then adamantly disagreed.
“No, no, no. It’s going to be, this is really scary, it will probably be Ted Cruz. And that really, now you think you’re scared now? Wait!”

Cruz has been a frequent target for ridicule from the hosts and guests on The View.
In March, after Cruz declared his candidacy, Behar said, “The bottom line with this guy is he’s a climate change denier. We can’t have a president of the United States that’s a climate denier.” Host Whoopi Goldberg then said Cruz was going to be a special target of hers.
“He’s a gay people denier. He’s a woman’s right to choose denier. He denies everything,” Goldberg said. “Listen, I’m sorry and I am going to take pot shots at him.”
