On Thursday, Western Journalism shared the extraordinary video of a high-speed police chase in Dallas that ended in a big crash and a bold catch.
A stolen Dodge Challenger rammed into a van stopped at an intersection — the irate driver of the van jumped out and went after the man who had crashed into her vehicle.
Jessica Liesmann — now widely referred to as “Mama Bear” — literally ripped the suspect out of the stolen car, wrestled with him, and slammed him to the pavement just as police arrived to take the criminal into custody.

“Mama Bear” Liesmann told Dallas TV station KXAS that she became so enraged and acted so quickly because she feared for her son who was with her in the van…and she had buried another son, a 4-year-old, last August after his death from a medical condition.
Liesman’s van that the stolen vehicle had smashed into was out of commission, and she wasn’t sure how she would be able to get around Dallas…until a car dealership in Mesquite, Texas, surprised her.
According to a post on The Blaze, Southwest Kia presented Jessica Liesmann with a brand new van valued at about $35,000.
