In a previous post, Western Journalism told you about the disconcerting claim by Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., that America would see unprecedented “militancy” from immigration activists upset over a federal judge’s ruling that blocked President Obama’s amnesty orders.
The fiery Gutierrez is one of Obama’s most vocal allies in the push for radical change in America’s policies and procedures for deporting illegal immigrants.
The Illinois congressman issued his “militancy” warning in the relatively friendly arena of an MSNBC program.

On Wednesday night, however, the Democrat lawmaker ventured into a far different media environment, Fox News’ The Kelly File, to defend his statements, including one about how “mean and xenophobic” are the people who oppose Obama’s plan for deferred deportation for millions.
When you watch the exchange between Megyn Kelly and Luis Gutierrez, you can see that the congressman met his match…and then some.
“Is [Obama] also mean and xenophobic?” Kelly asked, using the congressman’s own words to trap him. It was all downhill from there for the outgunned Illinois Democrat.
