Talk about a totally unexpected result from a couple of Middle School classmates being reunited…and under an incredibly heartbreaking set of circumstances.
BizPac Review has shared a story of a judge in Miami-Dade County, Fl., who recognized a suspect brought into her courtroom — a man facing charges of burglary and grand theft and was before Judge Mindy Glazer on a bond hearing. Standing in his orange jailhouse jumpsuit, Arthur Booth was certainly not prepared when Glazer asked if he had gone to Nautilus Middle School.
Within a second or two, the suspect held his hands to his face and began crying, repeating, “Oh, my goodness,” over and over. Glazer, the suspect’s former schoolmate, responded in a way that you have to see to fully understand.

According to WPLG-TV’s report on the emotional encounter:
Glazer said that Booth was the nicest and best kid in school.
“I used to play football with him, all the kids, and look what has happened,” Glazer said. “I’m so sorry to see this.”
Booth’s cousin, Melissa Miller, said he had potential to do great things in his life. She believed that he felt a sense of shame and remorse when he saw Glazer.
“It just brought back memories of how smart he was,” Miller said. “He was a scholar, well-rounded athlete, bilingual.”
