The sparing match between GOP front-runner Donald Trump and former Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush continued this week as the two released rival mini-ads on Instagram.
Trump’s jab came first on Tuesday with a 15-second video offering up Jeb Bush as the perfect remedy for insomniacs.
The ad begins with both the words on the screen and the narrator simultaneously asking: “Having trouble sleeping at night? Too much energy? Need some low energy?” Footage of Jeb Bush speaking at a recent rally with a woman in the audience sound asleep in the background follows. The video concludes: “Jeb, for all your sleeping needs.”

Trump has often labeled Bush “a low energy person,” which is not what is needed in the presidency at this time. Bush hit back a few hours later with his own short Instagram video, featuring footage of Trump telling CNN’s Wolf Blitzer (during Pres. Obama’s first term) that he believed Hillary Clinton would do a “good job” negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran. “She’s always surrounded herself with good people,” he said.

Appearing on Fox and Friends on Wednesday, Bush explained that the woman seen in the video sleeping at his New Hampshire town hall had been up since 4 a.m. in order to drop her child off at daycare and work a 12 hour shift. He said Tara is a big supporter of his and posted a picture with her on Twitter.
Bush also told the Fox and Friends hosts that his campaign is being more active in responding to Trump’s attacks. “At some point if you’re being defined by a guy who can just make a phone call and get on the talk shows all the time and all he does is disparage you, yeah, you’ve got to fight back.” h/t: Business Insider
