A Florida fisherman got to experience what few anglers do: reeling in a 400-pound grouper from a paddleboard!
Captain Ben Chancey caught the great fish off the east coast of Florida last week. His fight to bring it in has since gone viral.
Chancey hosts the YouTube fishing show called Chew on This and had multiple cameras in place, above and beneath the water, to capture the moment.

At one point during the struggle, the captain is thrown from his paddleboard, losing his rod in the water. However, all is not lost because he has prepared for such an eventuality.
Chancey runs chartered fish tours out of his home port of Cape Coral, Florida, for all levels of fishermen, but specializes in the extreme.
He told Fox News’ Jon Scott that he was still sore from reeling in the mammoth grouper last week.

After taking pictures of the fish, Chancey and his crew released him back into the ocean.
“We like to have fun, challenge ourselves with giant fish,” he said.
Earlier this month, the captain made news after a shark that he had on his line capsized his kayak. Chancey managed to swim quickly to a nearby boat and ultimately reel in the sharp-toothed creature.
