Dinesh D’Souza‘s new movie “America” hit theaters Wednesday. Reports say the conservative filmmaker and award-winning author will screen a segment of his movie Saturday night at the 2014 Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans.
“I’ll be showing 10 minutes. It’s Act 1, before we go into the critique of America,” D’Souza told the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s longer than a clip because I wanted to show the quality of the cinematography and some of the arguments we present in the film.”
“America” is set to screen two years after D’Souza’s successful documantary “2016: Obama’s America.” The movie is inspired by his upcoming book of the same title: “America.”

“The left is winning the cultural war,” he said. “Republicans treat politics as a hobby while the left engages more in academia, culture and the media. Conservatives have been politically outmatched because they’re not fighting on their natural battlefield. I want to step back from the narrow political debate and take a 25,000-foot view of the culture.”
The Conference speakers will include the famed Donald Trump, Senator Ted Cruz, former Senator Rick Santorum, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and Texas Governor Rick Perry.
