“When I forgot the end, it did kind of knock my confidence down a level.”
That’s what “Duck Dynasty” star Sadie Robertson admitted about last week’s performance on “Dancing With the Stars” — a performance that was still good enough to propel her and partner Mark Ballas into Monday night’s semi-final competition.
“Sometimes, when you try to be perfect, you mess up more.”
But Sadie’s regrets about the past appeared to do nothing to dampen her enthusiasm or lessen her two performances in the show’s week-10 semi-final round. The judge’s positive reactions were proof enough.
“You are such a breath of fresh air. … There’s a light you have that just shines so much, and people take that light and it’s so infectious,” said judge Julianne Hough. “That was brilliant.”
Judge Bruno Tonioli called the performance “natural, fresh, breezy, really, really wonderful.”
Also part of the show was a brief home video of a very young Sadie making another “confession” of sorts, as noted by cnsnews.com:
“The most important thing in my heart is God,” a 5 year-old Sadie said in an old home video featured on the program.
