Even as the GOP establishment seems to think that Donald Trump’s campaign for president will implode any minute, the GOP front-runner continues to rack up endorsements while maintaining his leadership over a still-crowded field. Recently, Trump gained the endorsement of a black pastor who is challenging the media’s apparent claims that minorities are automatically anti-Trump.
According to the Daily Caller, Dr. Darrell Scott, the pastor of New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, said that a meeting between the real estate mogul and a group of black pastors was a “meaningful dialogue.” He then added, “we voiced concerns that were sensitive to the African-American community.”
Speaking at Trump Tower in New York City, Scott went on saying, “I didn’t have concerns [with Trump] because I was already convinced, but there were concerns that the liberal media has put out portraying Mr. Trump in a light that I know he’s not the type of person he was depicted to be. So what we were able to do today was allow to see his heart for themselves and to make up their own minds about him. And they find out that he’s not the person that the media has depicted him to be.”

“We had a very productive, constructive meeting,” Dr. Scott continued. “We made history today because we had had meaningful dialogue from Mr. Donald Trump and we voiced concerns that were sensitive to the African-American community. And we asked questions were answered and we were satisfied with the answers and we’re a unified front right here. We had a wonderful time, a wonderful dialogue, wonderful fellowship, wonderful interaction. It was a great day.”
Ultimately, Scott admitted that he was all in for Trump. “I support Donald Trump and everybody knows that. Everybody knows that,” he said.
