Bill Clinton and other Democrats are crying out that Israel needs to make peace in the Gaza conflict.
Lt. Col. Allen West was on Fox News yesterday and refuted that claim by strongly condemning Hamas and its supporters for blaming Israel for the current conflict.
“Hamas is a non-state, non-uniform belligerent terrorist organization,” West said. “Why should anyone want to side with an Islamic terror organization against a sovereign nation state?”
West noted that the Israelis sought peace when it gave Gaza to the Palestinians in 2005, but all they’ve gotten in return is “incessant rocket fire” and tunnels that terrorists use to infiltrate Israel.
“We would not tolerate that in the United States of America,” West said.
When asked by host Brian Kilmeade if Hamas’ support was dwindling in the Middle East, West said that Islamic organizations like ISIS are trying to replace secular governments there.
He pointed to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi as someone who is attempting to stop these Islamic organizations.
“El-Sisi has stood up against the Muslim Brotherhood, he has cut off the tunnels of Hamas which is the Palestinian arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. We do have an ally in Egypt, but the sad thing is that you have an Obama administration that is withholding support to Egypt at this time, when they are providing tanks and jets to the Mohammed Morsi Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt government.”
“How can you have a ceasefire and a truce with a terrorist organization whose charter, whose whole reason for existence is to exterminate the Jewish state and kill every man, woman and child of Jewish decent in Israel?” West questioned.
“We need to crush Hamas, we need to support Israel in doing that,” West concluded.
