It appeared Donald Trump’s off the cuff spontaneity was on full display Monday at a press conference held in one of Trump’s newest hotels. The meeting with the press took place at the Old Post Office Pavilion in Washington, D.C., which is also the site of a new Trump International Hotel.
Trump started the encounter with a talk about the building plans for the hotel, which will have more than 300 rooms and employ more than 500 individuals. Trump stated the building was already an impressive structure but has been and is being restored to house luxury rooms and suites. The hotel is set to open in September, years ahead of schedule, and will possess one of the largest luxury ballrooms in all of D.C., according to the billionaire. Trump seemed pleased to be able to restore the historic building to achieve landmark status.
During a Q&A time, Trump’s attention was captured by one woman’s inquiring whether or not the hotel would employ former military personnel at his new hotel. She asked, “I’m a 9/11 survivor Iraq and Afghanistan veteran. I love the policy that you have for the military. I wanted to know if Trump Towers would be part of that veteran job [initiative].” Trump responded, “Are you talking about here? We’re doing some of that actually already. We have been very much involved. Why what are you looking for? What kind of position?”

Trump then asked the lady to, “Come up here. You’re so smart … good. Do you mind if I do a job interview right now? We need good people!” Trump asked her about her qualifications and experience. He then asked her to meet with who may have been the general manager. “If we can make a good deal on the salary, she’s probably going to have a job.” The young lady responded, “Oh my God,” and was then on her way to employment with the hotel.
According to CNN Money, Donald Trump has stated he, “Will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.” According to CNN, Trump has already employed over 34,000 people throughout his financial empire.
