It might take a “Christmas miracle” to keep liberal media outlets off Santa’s naughty list. However, political commentator Tomi Lahren used her “Final Thoughts” segment to tell anti-Trump media members that it isn’t too late to change their fortunes, so long as they adhere to the principle of honesty and acknowledge the country’s accomplishments achieved during President Donald Trump’s first year in office.
“The mainstream media wants to see Trump fail badly, even at the expense of the American people. Truth is, President Trump has done more in 11 months than Barack Obama did in four, or even eight years,” Lahren stated during the segment.
She added that “Trump has also done more in less than a year than the GOP establishment has done in a decade. He makes them look bad — maybe that’s why the swamp types hate him so much.”
The conservative host began rattling off the fruits of Trump’s labor — fruits that — according to Lahren — make liberal-leaning media outlets “physically ill.”
“Let’s start with the economy. 228,000 jobs created last month. An almost 30 percent gain in the stock market since Trump was elected,” she added. “Gross domestic product is set to hit three consecutive quarters of more than three percent growth. The jobless rate is at a 17-year low.”
As reported by The Western Journal, the overall unemployment rate has seen a significant decrease under the Trump administration, dropping to 4.1 percent. Moreover, under Trump’s tenure the unemployment rate for black Americans is the lowest it has been in 17 years.
Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics also detailed that Hispanic Americans are experiencing their lowest unemployment rate in 44 years.
But as Lahren points out, job growth isn’t the only sector that has vastly improved under the Trump administration.
“How about immigration? Wall prototypes are in the works. Beyond that, the Department of Homeland Security reports border patrol arrests have dropped to a 45-year low,” she referenced. “That’s down 25 percent from this time last year. It’s amazing what happens when the president vows to secure the border, isn’t it?”
In October, Trump tweeted a video of border wall prototypes beginning construction, adhering to the promise he made consistently throughout his 2016 campaign for the presidency.
As noted by Lahren, Trump’s ability to stick to his word is a rare trait among politicians.
“Trump also keeps his promises, unlike the last three presidents, who promised to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, but never did,” Lahren added, referencing Trump’s announcement in December that the U.S. embassy would be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Lahren then praised the Senate’s decision to pass the GOP tax reform bill, which, as Lahren stated, is the “biggest rewrite of the tax system since the Reagan Administration.”
“The Democrats are against it, because they think they know how to spend your money better than you do,” she continued. “And the thought of giving this president any victory, even if it’ll help Americans, makes them physically ill.”
She concluded her segment by bluntly stating that Trump is here to lead the United States, not coddle it — a concept that has been hard for left-wing media outlets to grasp.
“It’s time for these idiots to realize we didn’t elect Donald Trump to be nice,” she said. “We elected him to get stuff done. And that’s exactly what he’s doing.”
