As the British Parliament gets set to vote on whether to join the U.S.-led coalition conducting bombing raids against ISIS in Syria and Iraq, a new video has been released showing the moment a precision-guided bomb hits an oil refinery in Syria.
Coalition forces have been targeting oil facilities and stockpiles reportedly captured by ISIS and used to supply the terror organization with financial resources.
A report in the Washington Post quotes Obama administration sources who claim that most of the small oil refineries held by the Islamic State in Syria have now been crippled.
…the Islamic State produced about 300 to 500 barrels a day from each of the small refineries in Syria, providing the jihadists with revenue as well as refined fuel for their vehicles.
He told reporters that U.S. military officials were still conducting damage assessments from the attacks a day earlier but were confident that the dozen facilities that were targeted had been disabled.
U.S. Central Command has posted the video from a September 24th airstrike.
