Located halfway between Fort Worth and El Paso, Midland County, Texas has a plain-spoken, no-nonsense sheriff named Gary Painter. He’s the kind of lawman who doesn’t mince words…who says what he thinks without trying to be polite or politically correct.
In an interview Monday morning on “Fox and Friends,” Sheriff Painter had a warning for the United States as well as for ISIS terror cells that may be trying to breach the southern border.
U.S. authorities are on high alert along the southern border amid concern that ISIS may try to attack from the Mexican side. One Texas sheriff has said that he received an intelligence report stating that ISIS cells are operating in Ciudad Juarez, which is just across the border from El Paso, Texas.
Painter was asked what would happen if ISIS terrorists were found in his territory.
“If they show their ugly head in the area, we’ll send them to hell,” said Painter, calling for an intense bombing campaign against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
