Things started to get chippy when Sean Hannity got into it with Democratic Rep. Luis Gutierrez from Illinois on the issues of ISIS and the border crisis.
“I’m now viewing not controlling our border as a dereliction of duty by our elected officials,” Hannity said.
Gutierrez, on the other hand, refused to believe that the “porous border,” as he called it, posed any threat to the American people. He instead chose to think that the fact that ISIS members with visas could board a plane and be over here was not just the greater threat, but the only threat.
Gutierrez scoffed at Hannity, saying that he knows the briefings he goes to, but that he gets “intelligence briefings” making him more in the know than Hannity.
When asked by Hannity if he would support a bill that would secure the border, Gutierrez responded by saying, “no, and it would be folly” to do so.
“If something happens, I will blame members of Congress for not doing their job,” Hannity responded.
Gutierrez could only respond by saying that he loves this country and is trying to protect it.
