Anticipating the Sunday launch of Hillary Clinton’s presidential run, “Saturday Night Live” beat the candidate to the visual punch with a hard-hitting skit that poked merciless fun at the imagined behind-the-scenes prep for Mrs. Clinton’s campaign video.
Opening the show, comedian Kate McKinnon played a manic and borderline maniacal Hillary who looks into the lens and demands, “Citizens, you will elect me. I will be your leader.”
Former “SNL” regular Darrell Hammond, known for his Bill Clinton impersonation while he was on the show, popped in a few times, reacting with big eyes when the word “women” was mentioned.
