Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., joined Katie Couric on Yahoo News and discussed his impending decision to run for president in 2016, as well as his thoughts on former First Lady and possible 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
“The biggest mistake Hillary Clinton made, and I think this will be an albatross over her neck for the rest of the campaign – I don’t think she’ll be able to overcome this – is that when she was asked to provide security for Benghazi, she didn’t do it,” Paul said.
He doubled down on the sentiment, adding that her failure at the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi to protect the ambassador should “preclude her from even being considered for higher office.”

He concluded by mentioning he will decide whether to run for president or not by April, noting that he is someone who wants to defend the country but is not ambitious for war. Furthermore, he wants to see if that message would resonate.
