Lt. Col. Ralph Peters called President Barack Obama a coward for skipping France’s ‘Unity Rally’ Sunday to honor those killed during last week’s terrorist attacks. Peters told Martha MacCallum on Fox News Channel’s America’s Newsroom Monday:
“I’ve been in hot water for saying the president is a coward. The president is a coward. The president is a physical coward. He is a moral coward. He is an intellectual coward.”
More than 40 world leaders marched in Paris in a show of solidarity against the terrorists. Yet, President Obama was a no-show. Vice-President Joe Biden was not in attendance. Nor was Secretary of State John Kerry. Attorney General Eric Holder, who was in Paris for a terrorism summit, did not join French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for the march that drew one million people. Ambassador Jane Hartley was the only representative of the United States at the rally.

Col. Peters gave the president a pass for being a physical coward since he doesn’t “have to lead bayonet charges.” However, he slammed the president for being a moral coward for his inability to admit when he is wrong.
“Moral cowardice matters. And this man can never bring himself to have the guts to say about any issue, ‘I was wrong.’ He clings to this issue, this idea, that Islam is a religion of peace.”
Peters called the president intellectually immature, even after six years of being in the White House.

“It’s amazing how little he’s learned after six years. He’s still, as far as international relations goes, at the intellectual development level of a University of California undergraduate in a Che Guevara t-shirt.”
Peters criticized the president for skipping out on this historic opportunity to show the Islamic world that the U.S. is united against any attack on the liberties and the values of western civilization.
“Make no mistake, passivity in the face of terror is complicity. And yesterday, President Obama chose the side of the terrorists.”
