A new poll released Tuesday shows former Republican Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, who is seeking to unseat New Hampshire incumbent Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen, leading ever so slightly with less than three weeks to go before the November midterms.
Brown is leading Shaheen 48-47 percent in a poll conducted on October 9 by New England College, well within the margin of error of 3 percent. Shaheen was leading Brown by 7 points in a CBS News/New York Times/YouGov poll earlier this month, 48-41 percent.
The improved poll numbers inspired Republican-leaning group American Crossroads to pour $3 million worth of ad buys into the Granite State, National Review reported.

An ad features a girl in a spelling bee given the word, ‘Shaheen.’ She asked for the definition, which was “a Washington liberal out of touch with New Hampshire, voted for the Obama agenda 99 percent,” and a usage–“Jeanne ‘Shaheen’ was the deciding vote for Obamacare.” As a result, the girl spelled, “O-B-A-M-A,” to which the judges replied, “close enough.”
