‘Duck Dynasty’ star and Louisiana preacher Phil Robertson has already ruffled plenty of feathers by sharing his Bible-based views on sexual sin. During a recent sermon, he took on another leftist sacred cow: abortion.
CNS News provided footage of the Sept. 14 message in which he stated unequivocally that, according to his faith, abortion is tantamount to murder.
“That bunch,” he said, “the politically correct crowd, have slaughtered 55 million fetuses in their mothers’ wombs. So what does our government do? We legislate murder.”
Robertson explained that the Bible is clear in its denunciation of murder, noting that too many Americans are willing to overlook the obvious sin of abortion because our society suggests it is acceptable.
If you’re more upset w/ Phil Robertson’s opinion than you are at the abortion rate in America, your priorities are seriously screwed up.

“You have God’s law that says, ‘Don’t shed innocent blood; don’t murder,’” Robertson continued. “So our government says no, we’re going to trump that, you can kill them; and half of our country said we’re going with the government instead of God.”

The outspoken Robertson explained that he is merely sharing God’s word when he speaks out against sin of all varieties. He noted that, even though he did not invent the biblical standards he espouses, many of his critics consider him a villain.
“I give them a Bible verse and they scream and holler,” he said. “You say they’re mad at you? I’m just quoting what the apostle Paul said. Why aren’t you mad at him? And all he said was what God said. Are y’all mad at the God who had the apostle Paul write what Phil quoted? See how it works? But I’m the bad guy.”
