Conoy Township, a small town in Pennsylvania, is generating a little buzz after they decided to post signs on roads leading into the community that read: Welcome to Conoy Twp. THIS IS NOT A GUN FREE ZONE.
The small town of 3,000 has 12 signs posted and have three more set to go up, which would mark every major road into the town.
Most residents seem to be behind the signs; and as the community is an active hunting community, they see the signs as a precursory notice for visitors with bad intentions. If criminals know that citizens are armed, theoretically, they believe it will deter crime and keep the honest people honest.

“What we’re telling people is that when they do come here, they should feel safer knowing that everyone in the township is watching out for them,” township supervisor Stephen Mohr told Fox.
