The wife of the Omar Mateen, the ISIS-inspired radical who killed 49 people this weekend in Orlando, Fla., has gone missing, according to reports. This conveniently comes right after the news that Noor Salman might be charged as an accomplice in her husband’s massacre at the Pulse nightclub early Sunday morning.
Mateen’s father, Seddique Mateen, was interviewed by various media outlets in front of his house Wednesday. He mentioned that Salman was “no longer” there, and would not reveal where she went.
At noon, St. Lucie County authorities went into the household and then left, declining to answer any questions from the media.

Afterward, Mateen spoke with a few reporters briefly before asking them to leave. He told them that other family members were in the house, but he didn’t identify them. He said Omar Mateen’s young son had been asking for his dad. “This morning my grandson was asking for his father, so that really hurt me really bad,” he said. “And I was thinking about the families of the victims. They have kids and they lost their loved ones.”
Mateen condemned the atrocity that was committed by his son as well as the Islamic State. But he said the Pulse nightclub should have had more security.
“They should have enough security when 300 to 400 people come to the business, they should have good security,” he said.
