Oprah isn’t leaving the airwaves after all.
Look for the TV guru to unveil a few more new series for her new cable network — including one featuring herself — in a presentation to advertisers in New York today, reports USA TODAY’s Gary Levin.
The Oprah Winfrey Network, a joint venture with Discovery Communications due to launch on Jan. 1, won’t include her talk show, which ends in syndication in September 2011. But Winfrey will appear in Oprah’s Next Chapter, an on-location interview series in which she’ll travel to places “from the Taj Mahal to her beloved oak tree,” the network says. (The project is described as a “regular” series but it’s unclear how often it will air).
