During the August 17 airing of NBC-Milwaukee’s Sunday Insight on WTMJ, host Charlie Sykes burned Michael Bloomberg for his unsuccessful dealings in the County Sheriff’s race.
“Thanks for stopping by Mike, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
On August 11, pro-gun Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, defeated his opponent with Bloomberg spending $150,000 to see Clarke lose.
Milwaukee Police Lieutenant Chris Moews was defeated in the race 52-48 according to the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Sentinel Journal.
Other liberal groups, such as the Greater Wisconsin Committee, also contributed to Moews to the tune of $400,000, in hopes of beating Clarke.

Clarke, in January 2013, upset gun-rights opponents when he suggested to Milwaukee County residents that they should become familiar with a firearm so they could defend themselves should they need to in between the time of dialing 911 and the officers arriving.
“With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting isn’t your best option,” Clarke said, back in 2013. “You can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under your bed, or fight back.”
“Consider taking a certified safety course in handling a firearm so you can defend yourself until we get there,” he added.
In addition to the comments made on Sunday Insight, Milwaukee Community Journal’s Mike Holt was also on the show to say: “My unsolicited advice is to inform former Mayor Bloomberg… if you have so much money to waste, I could use a few dollars.”
