America is going to the polls soon; a crucial election for 36 Senate seats will be held on November 4, 2014. Currently, out of 36 seats, the Democratic Party holds 21 seats and Republicans have 15. The Democratic Party is desperately trying to hang on to their majority in the Senate in the wake of Obama’s sinking approval ratings which have reached the lowest level since he took office. It is reported that Democrat leaders are not very sure, given the present environment of discontent, that Democrats will be able to hold on to their majority in the Senate.
So it is Michelle Obama to the rescue! Stepping in to reinforce the flagging spirits of the party workers, Michelle is also extremely fearful that if Democrats lose the majority in the Senate, it will reinforce the hands of those Republicans–and get this: She is publicly warning that Republicans will likely try to IMPEACH Obama and probably abrogate the Affordable Care Act, the only piece of legislation that Obama was able to achieve during his lackluster term. Michelle Obama has sent an email to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee urging them to do their best and raise more funds, and see that all those who voted for Democrats in the past vote for Democrats again.
In her email Michelle expressed her fears of losing the slender lead in the Senate. She expressed apprehension that losing a few seats in this election may reinforce the hands of Republicans who she says are determined to start the impeachment process against the President. Michelle is trying her best to see that candidates from the Democratic Party win all the seats they are contesting. However, this appears to be a little difficult this time because the pro-family Latino vote has significantly moved away from the Democratic Party that opposes the traditional family, to the largely pro-family Republican Party.
