Less than a week after President Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump, suggested she was “basically” the real first lady, Melania Trump may have just sent a subtle message that set the record straight.
The official first lady visited a drug recovery center for infants in West Virginia on Tuesday, and she wore a green-belted dress designed by Samantha Cameron, a former first lady of Great Britain.
Glamour’s Halie Lesavage suggested that Melania Trump’s dress was sending a subtle message to Ivana Trump about being a legitimate first lady.

“By wearing a garment designed by a well-known First Lady (albeit from a different country), Melania is quietly reminding observers of her title,” wrote Lesavage.
