The Megyn Kelly vs. Donald Trump brouhaha may have died down; but the lingering distaste, even disgust, for the Fox News star remains for many critics who feel Kelly’s questioning at the GOP debate a week ago unfairly targeted the billionaire businessman.
So when Kelly announced at the end of her show on Wednesday night that she’s taking a vacation for the next week-and-a-half, some folks took to Twitter to let their ill feelings be publicly known. A sampling of the generally hostile tweets can be seen below.

Kelly’s Facebook page, which blew up with negative comments following the Republican debate in which Kelly asked Trump about his past comments regarding women, hasn’t seen any new posts by the Fox News anchor for a week. Her last post dealt with how she was “firing up for the big event” in Cleveland.
A record 24 million viewers tuned in to the primetime GOP face-off; and since the most-watched presidential primary debate ever, Megyn’s show The Kelly File has continued to trounce the competition on cable. On Monday of this week, Kelly’s hour-long program drew more than 2.9 million viewers, even out-distancing The O’Reilly Factor.
As Western Journalism reported on Tuesday, Kelly opened her show by saying she would not apologize to Trump. “I’ll continue doing my job without fear or favor,” is how Kelly said she would move ahead with “doing good journalism.”
