Wang Kaiyu of Maguan County in China purchased and raised what he believed to be two “good looking” pups from a Vietnamese salesman in 2013, and has lovingly cared for them over the past two years.
He noted that his animals had growing appetites and had even captured and fed on farm-raised chickens.
Recently, Wang saw a wildlife protection poster left by the forest police at an exhibition and suddenly realized he’s been raising two Asian black bears, a protected species in China.

The bears, one male and one female, are reportedly doing well at the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center of Yunnan province, according to WHIO.com.
