Bill Maher was visiting David Letterman on Monday night when Letterman brought up the subject of the 2016 elections. Maher acknowledged that the former First Lady would be running for President of the United States, again, which earned some applause. But he then said, “Come on. I’m not saying she’s going to win, but she is definitely going to run.”
After some back and forth about Clinton’s and Letterman’s age, Maher repeated some advice that he made on his own show that Clinton needs to just go away for a while before everyone gets sick of her.
Maher then set up the punch-line:

“You know, I think she’s probably still traumatized by what happened in 2008 when she lost to Obama because she thought it was hers for the taking. And it turned out the country basically did to her what her husband did. They found someone newer and younger.”
