When Rep. John Fleming recalled a recent address by Dick Cheney, the former vice president’s harsh criticism of Barack Obama took was a primary focus.
Cheney spoke before a group of House Republicans during a caucus meeting Tuesday, Fleming noted, and asserted that Obama “has actually done things that have supported the Muslim Brotherhood.”
Endorsing targeted military action against the terrorist network, Cheney reportedly told the representatives that “our policies have been exactly opposite to where they should be.”

Weighing in on the comments, radio host Rush Limbaugh chimed in Wednesday with his opinion that Cheney was spot on in blaming Obama for facilitating the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood.
“He did,” Limbaugh affirmed. “That’s not conjecture. It’s not theory. He did!”
Instead of getting bogged down in intraparty foreign policy squabbles, he noted that Cheney opted instead to unite the GOP leaders against a weak president.
“He went straight to pillorying Obama in front of an audience that was paying rapt attention,” Limbaugh said.
The conservative heavyweight offered a brief rundown of Obama’s position on the group as it coincided with its burgeoning footprint around the world.
“The Arab Spring,” he recalled. “We got rid of Mubarak in Egypt. We empowered the Muslim Brotherhood. What were we told? They’re the peaceful Islamists. The Brotherhood is the moderates. The Brotherhood we can deal with.”
Cheney reportedly “went on to name the Muslim Brotherhood as the beginning of all the Islamist groups that we’re dealing with now,” Limbaugh said, “like Hamas and ISIS and Hezbollah.”
The host’s comments came just hours before Obama’s speech detailing a proposed military response to the ISIS threat. The rise of this and other terrorist networks, he concluded, can be traced back to an empowered Muslim Brotherhood.
“Cheney’s exactly right,” Limbaugh said. “We’ve done things to actually support the Muslim Brotherhood. And the Muslim Brotherhood ruined Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is Hamas, they are Hezbollah, they are very close to ISIS. They’re all related – and this Arab Spring is all about the new caliphate.”
