An Obama high ranking official has allegedly called Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu a “chickenshit” because he refuses to “make bold moves for peace that might endanger his electoral prospects,” according to the Washington Post.
Fox columnist Charles Krauthammer decided to weigh in on the comments that the anonymous official made on Fox and Friends.
“I think there is animosity between the leadership–president and the prime minister–unlike any in the history of Israel. That goes back to 1948.”
“There is no doubt that what we saw is an accurate reflection of what they think,” Krauthammer told Brian Kilmeade. “That’s the reason they won’t offer an apology. Everybody knows it’s how the president thinks about the Israeli leadership under Likud, under Bibi. So we know that there’s sort of a veracity underlying it. You’re not supposed to say it, you’re supposed to deny it when of course it becomes published. But this is the tension between them. This is the worst relations between administrations – Israeli and American – probably in 50 years.”
Krauthammer is not the only one voicing his distaste for the comments.
@JeffreyGoldberg The irony of Obama administration officials who insist on anonymity calling anyone a coward is clearly lost on them.

Sure, that chickenshit PM was IDF special forces, but he’s no community organizer. — Mark Hemingway (@Heminator) October 28, 2014
