Just when you thought the depraved barbarity of the Islamic State couldn’t get any worse, news came out of the Middle East today that ISIS may be harvesting the organs of those they execute in order to fund their activities.
The price of a kidney, lung, or liver on the black market can easily reach into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. With ISIS executing most of their victims by beheading, it is easy to see why they are selling these fresh organs for profit.
Fox News reported today:
The shocking new claim was presented by the Iraqi ambassador to the United Nations, who said bodies have turned up in mass graves bearing surgical incisions and missing organs such as kidneys. Ambassador Mohamed Alhakim leveled the charge as he asked the Security Council to investigate whether harvesting and selling the organs of those it executes. Alhakim, who said a dozen doctors have been executed in Mosul for refusing to participate in organ harvesting, briefed the council on the overall situation in Iraq and accused the Islamic State group of “crimes of genocide” in targeting certain ethnic groups.
ISIS has shown itself to be resilient and extremely clever in the ways it is financing its operations. Obviously the terror group is thinking ahead of most of the developed world, giving them an advantage and the initiative on the battlefield as well as in the financial system. When one method of finance, such as oil, is targeted by the West, another method, far more barbaric, takes its place.

Without American leadership, this scourge on humankind will not be stopped. I fear for the news of some other, even worse, kind of financial activity to be discovered, if there can be such a thing. We know that President Obama does not have his heart in this fight. What will it take for him to employ the full capability of American power against this evil regime?
