In what Iran is declaring a “message of Iran’s might against extraterritorial powers,” Iranian Revolutionary Guard chief commander Mohammad Ali Jafari claims to be sending a warning to America.
The Revolutionary Guard used a swarm attack from speedboats in a full-scale model of a U.S. aircraft carrier on Wednesday. According to The Telegraph, the drill was practice for sinking a U.S. carrier – at least two of which usually patrol the area.
The practice run took place near the Strait of Hormuz, the waterway into the Persian Gulf at the southern border of Iran. The U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet is stationed in the Persian Gulf near Qatar, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Fifth Fleet Commander Kevin Stephens spoke to AP and revealed the U.S. Navy is not worried about the practice drills.
“We’re quite confident of our naval forces’ ability to defend themselves,” he said. “It seems they’ve attempted to destroy the equivalent of a Hollywood movie set.”
