Liberal commentator Mark Halperin, co-host of Bloomberg View, said on the air yesterday that Hillary Clinton may have met her match in Congressman Trey Gowdy, head of the House Select Committee on Benghazi. The comments come as Gowdy’s committee has asked Hillary Clinton’s attorney for her to appear under oath in front of the committee by May 1 to discuss what she did with her emails she deleted from her private server and when).
Halperin’s admission that she is possibly in trouble and may not be able to run roughshod over Gowdy shows the liberal press is starting to panic over this latest scandal from the Clintons. The left knows Hillary was obstructing justice, and you are starting to hear this narrative trickle out even from liberal media outlets like Bloomberg.
Breitbart points out in an article:
Bloomberg’s “With All Due Respect” co-host Mark Halperin stated that Hillary Clinton “may end up meeting her match” in Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) on Tuesday.
Halperin said that while Clinton has a history of being a good witness for herself on Capitol Hill, she “may end up meeting her match” in Gowdy, and that he “may have tougher and better prepared questions for her than she’s ever faced as a witness on the Hill and that could spell a lot of political trouble for her.”
Co-host John Heilemann said that revelations that Hillary used two devices during her tenure as Secretary of State meant her convenience excuse “crumbled at her feet,” and that the “facts are not on her side.”
Later, Halperin said that the longer details continue to slowly emerge over Hillary, the more “Democrats worry that they’re getting themselves into a coronation for a nominee whose got some real questions to answer.”
Halperin is no ordinary liberal journalist. He was caught during the 2004 presidential campaign directing other liberal journalists to downplay any distortions by the Kerry campaign. The fact that he is willing to say what he said out in the open means that the Democratic Party is really worried about Hillary Clinton and Trey Gowdy.
