A few weeks before the Orlando, Fla., shooting, the terrorist, Omar Mateen, could have been stopped after he was denied body armor and bulk ammunition.
ROBBIE ABELL: He wanted a level-3 armor, which is the highest civilian armor that can be purchased. Our salesman knew everything about it, he had some background experience of it, and he knew immediately this is not a question that a normal civilian would ask for. We let him know that we don’t carry it, nor have we ever carried it here. When he did, he pulled away and got on his cellphone and was having a conversation with someone in a foreign language. So his next question after he got off the phone was bulk ammo. Which we just implied that we didn’t have bulk ammo. So at that time he left the store but it was concerning so, they had a little meeting and we contacted the authorities that he was suspicious.

The FBI knew about this guy and did nothing. According to this former FBI assistant director, it’s because the White House is handcuffing the FBI.
JAMES KALLSTROM: The rules of engagement, what the bureau is being told about what they can do and what they can’t do. They can’t go sniffing around anything to do with Muslims. They can’t go around to mosques, they can’t do things that they would normally do. I’m not talking about things that are off the charts, I’m talking about things that normally would be done. But the orders have come down from the White House.
