Tuesday, on Fox News’ The Five, host Greg Gutfeld commented on Jon Stewart leaving Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and what it means for the left-wing media moving forward.
He called it a “big loss for the simpering left-wing media,” explaining that the comedian had a clever way to win converts over to the left–by doing nothing more than poking fun at people who said stupid things.
“Stewart used comedy to make a point so he never had to express anger,” Gutfeld said. “That’s way more persuasive than shrill bursts of shouting and that’s the problem with the right. Some of us yell the same point over and over again like an English speaker yelling the same phrase to some poor guy who doesn’t know the language.”

Gutfeld insists now that Stewart has paved the way for political comedic television, a new Jon Stewart from the right can emerge to shape young minds as he did.
“Keep an eye out for them because Comedy Central won’t,” Gutfeld concluded.
