Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump rejected the notion he was colluding with Democrats, specifically former President Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.
In a recent interview with the Miami Herald, Rep. Carlos Curbelo, R-Fla., questioned the authenticity of the Trump candidacy. “I think there’s a small possibility that this gentleman is a phantom candidate,” the first term congressman said.
Mr. Trump has a close friendship with Bill and Hillary Clinton. They were at his last wedding. He has contributed to the Clintons’ foundation. He has contributed to Mrs. Clinton’s Senate campaigns. All of this is very suspicious.
When the Fox and Friends panel asked Trump to react Wednesday, he brushed it aside. “Believe me, I will tell you from Hillary’s standpoint, the one person she doesn’t want running against her is Donald Trump,” Trump said.
Now with that being said I’m a businessman, I was a businessman, now I’ve taken a little time off to do something else as you know. I contribute to everybody. That’s part of the problem of the system.
“When I needed Hillary, she was there,” Trump continued. “If I say go to my wedding, they go to my wedding. I contribute to everybody, and that’s part of the problem with our system because they’re gonna do for me and all their donors things that aren’t necessarily good for the country, but they’re good for their donors.”
Trump also took the opportunity to slam one of the top contenders in the primary race, former Florida governor Jeb Bush. “As an example, Jeb Bush will never produce a job in his life,” Trump asserted. “Forget it, you’re kidding yourself if you think he will.”
He raised $100 million. Everyone that’s given him money expects something. There’s not one person that gave him money that isn’t expecting something and a lot of those things may not be good for the country; they’re only good for the donor, for the lobbyist, for the special interests.
