Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Wis., has had enough of Democrats boycotting Trump’s inauguration.
DUFFY: I’m disappointed that all these Democrats are saying they are going to stay home. It’s like I was a little kid and I’m used to getting a juice box and a trophy no matter whether I win or I lose. Listen, Democrats lost, Donald Trump won. You might not like him and you might not agree with his agenda, just like we didn’t agree with President Obama’s agenda. But show up. That’s your duty as a Republican congressman. Be part of the process, because what this does, Chris, is in the future what happens with the next Democrat president-elect that goes through their nomination? Are Republicans now supposed to say that, ‘We’re going to stay home?’ That these events become partisan in nature? That’s bad for the country. Show up, be part of it. Put your big boy pants on and let’s start working together.

After Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., called Trump an illegitimate president last week…
LEWIS: I believe in forgiveness, I believe in trying to work with people. It’s going to be very hard. It’s going to be very difficult. I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president.
Flashback to Lewis calling for people to “respect the position” of president.

JOHN HARWOOD: You think that was race?
LEWIS: I think part of that was race. And you wouldn’t have a governor putting her finger in the face of a white president. I think there’s been visible signs of disrespect for the man, and I have always said, if you don’t respect the man, respect the position.
