Jason Redman, a former Navy SEAL and friend of Chris Kyle, joined Neil Cavuto on Fox News to discuss the amount of attention American Sniper is getting from critics and their obsession for tarnishing Kyle’s name.
“The only angry people out there across America right now are the people that are angry at pompous egomaniacs like Michael Moore, Seth Rogen, Howard Dean, and Bill Maher who make asinine comments like that,” Redman said.
“Not a single one of those guys has ever placed themselves in a situation where they were willing to lay down their lives for their beliefs,” he added. “That’s what every American veteran did.”

The former SEAL applauded Clint Eastwood for making the movie about more than just Chris Kyle by targeting every American veteran who ever “went out there and fought for freedom.”
Redman concluded by clearing up the use of the word “savages” Kyle spoke about that has people, like Maher, taking it out of context to mean all of the Iraqi people. Redman said Kyle used the word to describe the absolute worst of the terrorists who have no care for life.
“It is the same demographic right now that is over there fighting with ISIS, that is raping and beheading women and children,” Redman said. “Just last week they dragged 13 teenage girls out in the street and beheaded them for watching a soccer game. If that’s not the definition of savagery, I don’t know what is.”
