Senator Dianne Feinstein told CNN’s Dana Bash on Sunday’s State of the Union that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “arrogant” for assuming that he speaks for all Jews. Feinstein said that the prime minister does not speak for her regarding the deal to block Iran’s nuclear weapon program.
No, he doesn’t speak for me on this. He doesn’t at all speak for me.
The Jewish California Democrat dismissed the idea that the prime minister represents her view.

I think it’s a rather arrogant statement. I think the Jewish community is like any other community. There are different points of view. So I think that arrogance does not befit Israel, candidly.
Feinstein went on to say that she is hopeful that tensions in the Middle East can be resolved.
I think Israel is a nation that needs to be protected, that needs to stand free, that hopefully can work constructively with Palestinians to have a side-by-side state and to put an end to the bitterness that has plagued this whole area.
