Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski had a laugh Tuesday at the expense of Democratic Senator Mark Pryor, who is in the midst of one of the toughest re-election campaigns in the nation.
Pryor failed to give a straight answer to NBC News Political Correspondent Kasie Hunt, who asked him whether or not the Obama Administration was doing an appropriate job of handling the Ebola crisis.
“Umm, I would say that it’s, it’s hard to know because I haven’t heard the latest briefing on that to know all the, I read the paper and all, but my impression is we have people over there both from CDC and other medical type people and even some engineers who try to build, you know medical facilities. That’s what they need over there, they need the medical infrastructure.”
When Hunt asked Pryor if the Obama Administration has been aggressive enough in containing the Ebola virus, he deflected again: “Again, I’d have to see the latest numbers.”
Coming back to the set, Brzezinski, a liberal, was hysterical: “Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it!”

Scarborough added, “Just stop it.”
In August, Pryor slammed his Republican opponent, Rep. Tom Cotton, in an ad for being soft on responses to pandemics, including Ebola. With less than 30 days to go until Election Day, Cotton leads the RealClearPolitics average by 4 percent.
