Representative Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Government and Oversight Committee, has issued a subpoena of MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber’s Obamacare consulting documents for the federal government–and any state governments he consulted with.
Gruber refused to produce the documents when he testified before the committee, and Issa promised that he would subpoena them. Now, Issa has delivered on that promise.
In a news release from the committee, Issa said that Gruber was in a unique position to shed light on the Obama administration’s “lack of transparency” regarding Obamacare. Issa added that Gruber had refused to answer key questions, including how much in taxpayer funds he had received from the government.
