“According to D.C.’s official code, people cannot carry a gun openly or concealed. That’s what the judge overturned. Already, the D.C. police have quit enforcing the ban, but Mayor Vince Gray believes the ruling is ambiguous,” Andrew Mollenbeck reports.
“We’re very troubled by this,” said Gray. “One of the things we’re trying to do is fully understand what the implications of this rule are.”
“He says it’s not clear if people can now take guns to parks, rec centers and other D.C. buildings,” Mollenbeck concludes.
