CNN’s Chris Cuomo interviewed former John Hopkins Hospital Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery Ben Carson and followed the recent trend of liberals slanting questions and badgering conservatives/Republicans on the measles outbreak, claiming they solely oppose science on the issue.
“It seems as though the Republican Party has a problem with science – that they’re always pushing back against science,” Cuomo said.
Carson responded by first correcting his premise of assuming that just Republicans are “pushing back” by highlighting California as a major stronghold for Democratic opposition.

“So I’m not sure that I would characterize it as a problem with one party or the other,” the former neurosurgeon said. “But I would characterize it as a problem of lack of information about modern studies.”
Carson concluded the interview by stating that the illegal immigrants entering the country aren’t making the measles outbreak any easier to control.
“The facts are there are people in our country who have been lax, in terms of their vigilance of getting their kids immunized and we have people coming in who are not necessarily being properly screened,” Carson said.
