SENATE MINORITY LEADER CHUCK SCHUMER: The only way we’re going to work with [President-elect Donald Trump] is if he moves completely in our direction and abandons his Republican colleagues. That’s not going to happen very often, even less optimistic any of that can happen seeing his Cabinet choices. Ninety, 95 percent of the time we’ll be holding his feet to the fire and holding him accountable. But we’re Democrats. We’re not going to oppose things to oppose them.
Except California Rep. Maxine Waters is going to be defiant just to be defiant.

WATERS: No, I have no intention of pretending everything’s alright, that we’re going to work together.
REPORTER: I just want to get this straight. Are you saying then that you would not sit down with President-elect Trump if he invited you to the White House to meet on common ground?
WATERS: Oh no! I won’t go! I’m not going to sit down with him, I’m not going to go. I’m not going to pretend, I’m not pretending. I don’t trust him, I don’t believe him. I have no intentions of sitting down with him. I’m going to fight him every inch of the way.
