KATE SNOW: Ted Cruz, the senator from Texas, coming out with a Facebook post just now saying, “After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided on election day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.” That, of course, months coming now. Ted Cruz had for quite a while been reluctant to say those words even though he said he would support the Republican nominee, he had not said that he would indeed vote for Donald Trump. In a lengthy post on his Facebook page saying the election is like “none other in our nation’s history,” that he “struggled to determine the right course of action.” He comes to the conclusion that he will vote for Donald Trump. He says he intends to keep his word to support the Republican nominee. And secondly he said, “Even though I’ve had areas of significant disagreement with our nominee, by any measure, Hillary Clinton is wholly unacceptable and that’s why I have always been #NeverHillary.”
